**10th** TÜV Rheinland International Symposium

Functional Safety in Industrial Applications

to take place from May 15 to 16, 2012 in Cologne, Germany at the TÜV Rheinland Headquarters.

In the past 20 years this Symposium has been held every 2 years in Germany. Due to this success further events followed abroad like in 2005 in the US and this year in China. Our ambitious plans are to continue to hold further Symposia in India, South America and further prosperous regions worldwide.

Many experts, customers and cooperation partners have shared their knowledge and expertise and made this Symposium an important event for the Functional Safety business area worldwide. More and more it has developed to an international platform where engineers and peers meet to exchange state-of-the-art knowledge and information about technological developments. In all these years many companies also had the possibility to present their latest products and services in an exhibition which has always accompanied each Symposium.

This years **10th** TÜV Rheinland International Symposium is an important event for us. It would be a great pleasure for us if our best experts and peers contribute their expertise again.
