Workshop

Safety of Machinery (Functional Safety) acc. to IEC 62061, EN 954-1 (ISO 13849) andIEC 61508
(2-day workshop - limited participation up to 20 persons)

This workshop imparts basic as well as detailed information for areas of safety engineering in machinery and process plant engineering.

Date

to be named

In various application areas of machinery and systems engineering more and more components and systems have to fulfill safety-related tasks.

A safe function of the controls and monitoring devices is essential for the safety of the operating personnel and the environment. Therefore it is necessary to know the international standards for Functional Safety and to apply these correctly and intelligently.

Based on it's extensive experience the business unit Automation, Software and Information Technology, ASI of TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH offers the workshop
"Functional Safety acc. to IEC 62061, ISO 13849 and IEC 61508,".

This 2-day workshop informs about the legal and normative basics of Functional Safety. It offers a survey of the standard's requirements and describes in examples the structures and possibilities for solutions of safety relevant tasks.

All aspects which have to be considered for the design of a hardware and software system, in order to meet the requirements of functional safety for a certain safety level, will be discussed in this workshop. Furthermore references to practical applications are shown and reviewed.

Target Group

... are designers, developers and application engineers in the area of safety of machinery..
