TÜV Industrial Services GmbH, Automation, Software and Information Technology, ASI, has a testing laboratory, which is accredited for various operating ranges by different institutions resp. organizations.

Concerning the statutory operating ranges the testing laboratory is accredited by the German Federal Center of Safety Engineering (Zentralstelle der Länder für Sicherheitstechnik ZLS) for:

• Safety components of elevators, lifts and conveyors
  according to the EU Lift Directive 95/16/EC
• Safety components of Machines
  according to the EU Machinery Directive 98/37/EC

The testing laboratory is also part of the testing laboratory for EX-hazardous areas (explosive protection) of TÜV Industrial Services GmbH, accredited by ZLS for:

• Equipment and protective systems intended for use in, or in conjunction with, potentially explosive atmospheres
  according to the EU-Standard 94/9/EC (ATEX Directive)

Concerning the non statutory operating ranges the testing laboratory is accredited by the official German Accreditation Body for Engineering (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Technik DATech)

• Quality and safety testing, especially functional safety including safety management, of software and systems as well as their components with or without software (electronic components, measuring and control devices, programmable electronic systems).

The scope of the accreditations includes - apart from relevant application-dependent and application- independent national and international safety standards - standards concerning environmental tests. Within the scope of its equipment, the testing laboratory is also accredited as environmental testing laboratory.
