Activities in Development and Research

Development

The business sector Automation, Software and Information Technology, ASI of TÜV Industrial Services GmbH deals with activities in development to a limited extent. Our intention is to stay in contact with the latest state of technology, especially in the areas of hard- and software development.

Our activities in development concentrate on specific testing measures.

Examples:

• Automatic Test Equipment MPA IV
• Compiler validation
• Validation of graphic program code generators.

Research

Within the scope of testing activities we are often confronted with new technologies of safety engineering.

It is for this reason that the business sector Automation, Software and Information Technology, ASI, performs research activities exclusively or together with associated companies concerning specific topics.

Examples:

• Efficiency of time-based and logic-based program flow monitoring

• Field experience qualification of the hardware and software used in
  computers and similar systems to perform safety-related functions
  
  
• The Application of Bus Systems concerning Plant Safety in Chemical Industry
