Environmental Tests

The fields of activity of Automation, Software and Information Technology (ASI) concentrate on type approvals and qualification of electronic components, devices and systems. The following testing facilities are necessary.

The testing facilities for environmental tests are also at the disposal of external customers. These are companies which in the scope of their development activities or for the qualification of their own components, want to derive benefits from our know-how.

During these tests, which are often described as "screening tests", the focus is on the environmental test and does not incorporate a comprehensive type approval.

Our testing facilities meet many test requirements and parameter concerning climatical and mechanical environmental tests.
Apart from the known test standards of DIN EN 60068, basic technical and product standards from the business fields railway technology, automotive and also telecommunication services are applied.

Our vibration test offers not only the possiblity to produce the usual fixed frequency and sweep sine. Additionally random profiles can be made, which are a realistic simulation of operating conditions, a standard, especially in the automotive industry. Furthermore it is possible to analyse resonance points during a sweep sine stimulation with electrical and optical tools.

The shock test is designed for half sine shock profiles with an exposure time of 6 ms, 11 ms and 16 ms. Additionally to this service, the vibration test allows the realisation of free programmable shock profiles (transients).

Our climatic and temperature chambers are freely programmable for humidity and temperature and allow fully automatic testing through interfaces to external devices. The range of temperature is - 75 degrees to + 180 degrees Celsius. The humidity is 10 % to 98 % for temperatures from 10 to 95 degrees Celsius. The largest test chamber is 1 cubic meter. Larger test samples or complex constructions can be tested in an adjacent accessible climatic chamber. To record the test, calibrated internal and external data collection devices are provided.

Generally a short-term test is possible. One-day vibration tests can be carried out within one calendar week after receipt of the test sample. If desired, customers may attend the tests.

Our test laboratory is accredited according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17205 and DIN EN ISO 9001. This shows the broad recognition of our well-founded test reviews and documented test results.
